This version of A Course in Miracles is collated from the Bill Thetford edit. It is commonly referred to as the ‘Sparkly’ edition due to the sparkles on the book’s cover. It is also known as the Thetford redaction or the Hugh Lynn Cayce version.
In Helen’s Notes: Dialogues with Jesus, we learn that Bill Thetford was assigned the role of editor by Jesus, as he was the one responsible for “what stays in and is taken out of the Course.” The Sparkly has over 25,000 words reinstated including important information on the Soul, Inner Guidance, Asking/Listening, Freud, Sexual Impulses, Miracles and “doing” in this world.
The Course is a psychological & spiritual tool for mind training and inner peace. Through its curriculum of 31 chapters, 365 lessons and a teachers manual, it helps us experientially to shift from the ego’s thought system to Holy Spirit’s and from fear to Love.
